A little about me
I have a love for art and studied fine art at Warwickshire College. Whilst studying I worked at Neil Astill Gallery in Warwick gaining a practical education in selling art and picture framing.
My focus on abstract painting led to a first exhibition in 1999. Despite initial original art sales I was disillusioned by the direction I was pushed into at college which impacted on my enjoyment of painting. After some time away I started painting again.
This time taking inspiration from wildlife, focusing on realism and producing acrylic paintings in a naturalistic style with abstract influences. I tend to work from photographs taken by my brother Mark, from family snaps taken on walks or at the wildlife park.
I produce originals, take commissions and have a range of signed limited edition prints available directly from me or at Neil Astill Gallery in Warwick. I have been selected as a finalist for the last two years in the Stetch for Survival competition which culminates in an exhibition in London on the banks of the river Thames.
